About Us

Smarter, safer, better water storage.
our mission
What started as a small family necessity has grown into a mission-driven company dedicated to helping people prepare, protect, and store water smarter. With innovation at our core, we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in home water storage, preparedness, and sustainability.

1952 – A Legacy Begins
On a small family farm in Canada, water was life. Our survival depended on a well and a 300-gallon concrete cistern, hand-built by our grandfather, Byron Henry Wolsey. That early lesson in water storage planted the seeds for what would later become Rockwell Water.
-
2004 – Reinventing Water Storage
Fast forward to Utah, where we saw an opportunity to improve the concrete cistern. This led to the birth of Rockwell Precast and our first innovation: a 500 gallon polyethylene tank encased in concrete, designed to protect and store water underground for long-term reliability—an ideal solution for new home construction.
2006 – A Market Collapse & A New Direction
When the housing market crashed in Utah, demand for underground tanks vanished. Instead of giving up, we saw an opportunity beyond underground storage. Rockwell Precast shut down, and in 2008, we began designing a better alternative to the outdated 55-gallon drum, reimagining how families
could store water efficiently.
-
2009 – The First Breakthrough
We officially launched Rock-Well Water Systems, Inc., introducing the Oasis 250 and Oasis 150, pioneering a new era in home water storage. Despite economic challenges and difficult partnerships, Rockwell remained a passion project—operating out of a 1970s garage, fueled by a commitment to creating smarter, space-saving water storage solutions.

2010 – The First Big Win
Our first major breakthrough came when Daily Bread, a national emergency preparedness company, took interest in our tanks. We hustled—selling at trade shows, on our basic website, and through local listings. With no warehouse of our own, we stored tanks with friends and in every available corner we could find.
-
2015 – Scaling Up with Costco
A game-changing moment came when Costco approached us. For the next five years, we supplied seasonal inventory across the Northwest, moving into a shared 2,000 sq. ft. warehouse. That same year, we were recognized alongside Kodiak Cakes as Utah’s Product of the Year.
2020 – Manufacturing & Growth
Ryan partnered with a friend in manufacturing, launching Rockwell Innovations in an 8,000 sq. ft. production facility. For two years, we expanded our capabilities, manufacturing high-quality products that set new industry standards. In 2022, Ryan sold his interests to refocus on product development and innovation.

Today – A Nationwide Brand
With a rebranding, Rock-Well Water evolved into Rockwell Products, now home to six branded product lines. Our water storage solutions are manufactured in two states and distributed nationwide, ensuring families across the country have access to reliable, long-term water storage solutions.
